You make me feel so much tenderness for that perfect unused sugar bowl. At my house it's the sugar bowl that's constantly in use for tea and coffee. It's a blue poetry one -- one of the only pieces left from the dishes we got as wedding presents and I love it, even though it no longer has its lid and even though it's too small and the sugar scatters all over the counter when the children spoon it into their cups.
Love, love, love this poem! Just beautiful. "Like us" hit me.
Thank you for sharing this one, Tara! ❤️
‘in a room of well-worn,
useful things,
like us’
Love this line.
I love the poem.
Thanks you!
I can see the scene - finely observed!
Thanks, Thomas. Really appreciate it.
This is lovely. It so captures those lazy Sunday mornings with our well-worn selves.
I love this breakfast vignette. So cozy.
